Once a Georgian coaching inn, The Baskerville Arms Hotel has changed course a few times over its lifetime. In recent years it was a village pub and restaurant, closed for a time and now it's changing again to Baskerville House although there will be some duplication for a while yet.
Having bought the property in March 2019, we set about an ambitious refurbishment programme and now have eleven tastefully furnished en-suite bedrooms, a guest courtesy bar and offer substantial breakfasts taken around a large eighteen seat table in the dining room.
Should you wish to venture out, this part of the Welsh borders is beautiful and has much to recommend it. Using us as a base, you can walk to Hay on Wye and spend a day ambling round the bookshops, market or shops. There are numerous excellent pubs, restaurants and cafes, although booking is recommended and we can advise accordingly. Or what about, kayaking, wild swimming or fishing. There's also cycling, pony trekking and rambling across wonderful moorland countryside or in the Brecon Beacons. How about stunning Hereford Cathedral and its Mappa Mundi or the beautiful Elan Valley, Offa's Dyke and the majestic Welsh countryside beyond?
Our current double or twin occupancy room charges start at £95.00 per night, including a full breakfast. If you would like to check availability, book a room or ask us anything at all, please call or email for further details.
